Fine Art Wedding Ideas in Mexico City | Dear Gray Magazine blog

Featured on Dear Gray Magazine and Adorn Magazine blogs.

Mexico City is a vibrant, colorful, and magical 20+ million-people city where culture, art, and history are embodied everywhere you walk. Happenstance through social media brought Pilar Fuentes, the floral designer from Las Floristas, and I together. I mentioned to her about my vacation to Mexico City and my interest in collaborating with local artists to create a simple and organic bridal inspiration.

Lately, I have been reading about wabi sabi, the Japanese aesthetic and philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection, as well as practicing the art of slow living. Therefore, simplicity, organic details and textures, a beautiful poem by Pablo Neruda, and fine art photography were the inspiration for this session.

“Our love was born
outside the walls,
in the wind,
in the night,
in the earth,
and that’s why the clay and the flower,
the mud and the roots
know your name.” – Pablo Neruda
